From our acquisition of clothing from an Arizona ranch in the 40s:
~1940s red, yellow, blue, and green floral calico print black cotton long sleeved shirt waist day dress with notched collar
~Gathered along yoke on front and back giving bodice dimension
~Front button closure with striking, fun blue and white pinwheel buttons
~Narrow waist panel gives appearance of a belt
~Sleeves are gathered at cuffs and have button closures that match the buttons on the bodice
